Motorola Edge 30 Ultra: 200 MP camera and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus on board
The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra looks to be Motorola's most ambitious device yet, and a new leak has revealed details of the flagship phone way ahead of launch, including the 200MP main camera and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus.
Motorola has slowly returned to the flagship realm with its Edge series. The company released the Edge 30 Pro a while ago and is now about to follow suit with an even more ambitious device - the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra.
According to leaker Yogesh Brar, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra will come with a 6.67″ FullHD+ 120 Hz Curved P-OLED. It is interesting that the leaker calls a 120 Hz display, although the Edge 30 Pro already offers 144 Hz. The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra appears to be a classic flagship otherwise, with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a maximum of 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Apparently, the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra will be the first smartphone with a 200 MP camera. To all appearances, this is the same device as the Motorola "Frontier 22" from previous leaks, guaranteeing that the sensor is Samsung's ISOCELL HP1. A 50 MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 12 MP telephoto camera will also be added to this camera. The rear camera module will only house those three lenses, but that's perfectly adequate. A 60 MP camera will be found on the front.
Other specifications such as a 4,500 mAh battery, 125 watt fast charging and an in-display fingerprint sensor complete the impressive specifications. The Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is expected to launch in July.
