Xiaomi Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro were introduced
Xiaomi Redmi Independent brand officially unveiled the Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro. These two models are part of the K50 series, which now has a Redmi K50 game version that was released in early February.
The Vanilla Redmi K50 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor based on the 5-nanometer TSMC process. This process scored AnTuTu more than 8.5 million points, making it a powerful chipset. It also has LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 flash memory, which further improves performance. On the other hand, the high-end Redmi K50 Pro appears to be the world's first smartphone to feature the Dimemnsity 9000 flagship SoC, as well as LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 flash memory.
The display is the main feature of the K50 series because both models have a flexible 6.67-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a resolution of 2K 3200 x 1440 pixels. The display also supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz, 526 PPI and a maximum brightness of 1200 nits; It also supports full DC exposure, 16,000-level auto-brightness adjustment, ambient color temperature measurement, ultra-sharp touch, Dolby Vision, AI HDR technology and more.
The screen is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Victus that is 1.5 times better than the previous Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Scratch performance improved up to twice as much as Glass 5.
The K50 Pro loses the fingerprint sensor below the screen, but has a side fingerprint sensor.
The Redmi K50 Pro has the Samsung S5KHM2 100-megapixel dual transparent camera settings. This camera has optical image stabilization (IOS) which has a great impact on the ability to shoot by hand. The flagship also supports electronic image stabilization during video recording to reduce the effect of hand-shake during recording. The main camera combines with a 2-megapixel macro lens and an 119-degree 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The 100-megapixel main sensor has been replaced with a 48-megapixel main camera in the K50, while retaining the rest of the K50's features.
For selfies, there is a 20-megapixel Sony IMX596 sensor on both the K50 and K50 Pro, which provides ample image data for portrait photography.

To get the full power of the powerful chipsets, the Redmi K50 and K50 Pro come with the latest cooling system technology. This system includes a completely new stainless steel VC with a total area of 3950 square meters. Steel VC uses a T-shaped design that covers 72% of the motherboard. Redmi models also come with other heat dissipation materials - 7 layers of graphite, copper sheet and thermal paste, which form a three-dimensional waste system to support the final performance of both devices.
