Samsung can t keep up: Apple continues to set itself apart
Things couldn't get any better for Apple. Many new iPhones are selling like hot cakes and tablets are also doing extremely well. The competition can't keep up. Samsung is even losing ground, while a Chinese manufacturer was also able to increase its sales somewhat.
Apple can sell more iPads than in the previous year
Not only the iPhone 13 is a success. iPads are also selling well. Canalys analysts have released new numbers showing Apple's growth as Samsung loses ground. In 2021, Apple sold over 60 million iPads, increasing sales by 4 percent . Samsung, on the other hand, came in under 30 million, down 3 percent from last year. Amazon is down 17 percent and Huawei tablets are down 45 percent. Here HarmonyOS probably does not bring the desired success. Lenovo alone was able to increase by 25 percent and is getting closer to the 20 million tablets sold.
The switch to Apple's M1 processor in particular is said to have greatly fueled interest in iPads . The performance is so high that hardly any other manufacturer can keep up. But even the cheaper models got better and better and can be operated with a pen, for example. You can work with it especially in schools. Overall, Apple builds the tablets people want. The developers also supply the tablet apps so that you can benefit from the larger display.
Now even the new iPad Air has gotten an M1 chip from Apple:
Google wants to focus more on tablets
After years of ignorance, Google has finally recognized that tablets do play an important role and now wants to focus Android much more on this. Samsung should then also benefit from this again, because the developers might then also adapt their apps for Android tablets. That would be great for us too, because the iPad apps are way better than Android apps for tablets. Unfortunately, one has to admit that.
