Huawei Mate X3 is said to come with a design that folds outwards and a punch-hole display
In the past few weeks we've had a number of leaks and news reports on Huawei's next foldable smartphone - the Mate X3. However, the company has not confirmed or announced any information about the release of the new generation of the foldable phone.
In mid-March 2022, the Huawei phone, codenamed PAL-AL00, received MIIT certification, which is said to be the Mate X3. The listing shows that it comes with HarmonyOS and supports 4G networks.
Now, a Weibo tipster has shared another piece of news about the Huawei Mate X3: it features an outward-folding design on the right side of the display. Another blogger mentioned that the upcoming Huawei Mate X3 will have a larger display than the flagship Mate 50 series.
Speaking of design, it seems that with the Mate X3, Huawei is once again continuing the outward-folding design that was discontinued on the Mate X2 and P50 Pocket.
After the US lockdown, Huawei is struggling with a shortage of Kirin chipsets and is now relying on Snapdragon processors. A few days ago it was reported that Huawei is testing the Mate X3 with Kirin 9000 and HarmonyOS 2.0.1 operating system.
So we can assume that there are two variants of the Huawei Mate X3 similar to the P50 series, powered by Kirin 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processors.
