Samsung has had enough: important cell phone ends up on the siding
After four years, Samsung has had enough: The Galaxy Note 8 will not receive any further updates. The smartphone was incredibly important for the manufacturer, as its predecessor often went up in flames. Lost trust absolutely had to be regained.
Galaxy Note 8: Samsung no longer distributes updates
Four years after the release of the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung draws a line. From now on there will be no more updates for the Note phone . Operating system updates are long gone anyway, because Android 9 was the last version that was distributed by Samsung. If you are still on the move with your smartphone, you should now look for alternatives at the latest.
With the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung was under enormous pressure. Its direct predecessor, the Galaxy Note 7, made itself felt in the collective memory primarily with its ability to explode . Samsung's reputation was on the ground - and the dangerous mistakes were never allowed to be repeated with the successor. Samsung succeeded in doing this. Beyond that, the Galaxy Note 8 was a remarkable phone.
With the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung introduced a new design language. In addition, there was a double camera on the back of the smartphone, which was anything but natural in 2017. The Galaxy Note 8 was to be understood as a signal to the competition that Samsung could continue to be expected. Although no new Note cell phone appeared in 2021, we could see a Galaxy Note 22 Ultra next year.
