HarmonyOS: Huawei even supplies ancient smartphones
Huawei continues to expand. Not only newer smartphones are supplied with HarmonyOS, but also very old Android devices that have actually not received any updates for a long time. New life is breathed into them, so to speak. But this also has a small disadvantage.
Huawei distributes HarmonyOS for old smartphones
When it announced HarmonyOS 2.0, Huawei said that older smartphones would also receive the new operating system. Now the day has come. The Chinese company has announced that several Huawei smartphones that are almost five years old will be given a second chance with HarmonyOS. The following smartphones are now receiving the new operating system:
Huawei Mate 9 Huawei Mate 9 Pro Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design Huawei P10 Huawei P10 Plus Huawei Enjoy 9 Plus Huawei Nova 3There are real classics like the Huawei Mate 9, which I tested myself in November 2016. At that time the world was still okay for Huawei and you could tell from smartphone to smartphone how much better the company was in this area. But the two P10 smartphones are also included and have now been given a completely new operating system with HarmonyOS 2.0 . Both smartphone series helped make Huawei what it is today.
As usual, Huawei is initially starting the distribution of HarmonyOS 2.0 in a beta and will start with the final release in a few weeks if no problems arise. If you update your old Android smartphone to HarmonyOS with Google apps and services, you lose access to it . You should think carefully about this before switching.
In the video we show you what makes HarmonyOS so special:
HarmonyOS 3.0 is already pending
So far, Huawei has only distributed HarmonyOS 2.0 in China. With version 3.0, however, a new version of the operating system will soon be unveiled, which may then also find its way to Europe. By then, at the latest, it will become clear how well the new operating system is being accepted here. Things are going well in China.
