{Disarmed} Carl Peiâs Nothing is slated to launch its first phone early next year
Nothing announced a new partnership with Qualcomm earlier this week. It looks like the manufacturer could be working on its first smartphone. According to 91Mobiles, the Carl Pei startup plans to launch the device early next year.
While there is no indication of any specs or capabilities of the possible phone, it will likely be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. It has already been confirmed that Qualcomm's Snapdragon platform will be used for future technology products.
In January of this year, Nothing acquired the Essential brand from Andy Rubin, including all trademark rights, logos and patents. There's a good chance the first phone from Nothing will have something from Essential.
The only product Nothing currently sells is the Ear wireless earbuds (1) . Announced in July this year, the headphones offer active noise cancellation and a range of other first-class features for less than EUR 100.00.
