ZTE Axon 30: This is what the invisible selfie camera really does
The Chinese manufacturer has come up with something very special for the ZTE Axon 30: The selfie camera cannot be seen because it is hidden under the display. You can find out in our video whether the front camera still takes good pictures.
ZTE Axon 30 with sub-display camera
As with the Axon model from last year, ZTE also presents a special feature with the Axon 30 that looks almost futuristic : The front camera is hidden under the screen and cannot be recognized as such in everyday life. The display looks nice and full and is not interrupted by a notch or other recess. The front lens only shows up when the camera app is opened on the 5G mobile phone.
The ZTE Axon 30 is the second generation of the sub-display camera ready for series production. Weaknesses should be ironed out by an artificial intelligence . You can see in the video whether this works as desired by the manufacturer in practice.
ZTE is not the only smartphone manufacturer that relies on an invisible front camera. Samsung recently presented its own solution and is using it in the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 3. Unlike Samsung, the ZTE Axon 30 achieves a maximum resolution of 16 MP instead of 2 MP. The quadruple camera on the back comes up to 64 MP (wide angle). There is also an ultra wide angle (8 MP) as well as a macro lens and a depth sensor (2 MP each).
ZTE Axon 30 5G: battery charged quickly
In addition to the special selfie camera, the ZTE Axon 30 also wants to score with a permanently rechargeable battery, among other things. The battery with a capacity of 4,200 mAh can be recharged with up to 65 watts . ZTE can pay for that in this country with at least 499 euros. For this sum there is 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent storage.
