iPhones of the future: Apple s secret plans until 2024
What comes after the current iPhone 13? Insider and expert Ming-Chi Kuo has new knowledge about Apple's secret plans. They reveal: We will have to wait a little longer for the technologies we have longed for - the iPhone manufacturer is taking its time.
After the iPhone is before the iPhone - Apple is already working flat out on future smartphones. What can we expect from them? The well-known Ming-Chi Kuo knows more again, or has to adapt previous predictions to Apple's current schedule. He's already telling us what we can expect in 2022, 2023 and 2024 (source: MacRumors).
Apple takes longer: iPhone 2022 still without Touch ID
Let's go next year. The punch-hole camera design of the iPhone 14 was already known . The notch is then finally history, only a small camera hole remains. The sensors for Face ID will then probably hide under the display. The camera on the back should also have 48 megapixels - a huge leap from the previous model with 12 megapixels.
But anyone who hoped for a comeback of Touch ID (fingerprint sensor) will be disappointed. According to Kuo, the iPhone 14 will not have such a sensor under the display or even in the power button. Previous reports would therefore be superfluous. Apple is simply not ready yet. iPhones with Touch ID sensors below the screen will therefore only be available in the second half of 2023.
At least the successor to the current iPhone SE would be on schedule. The inexpensive model is to be launched in the first half of the coming year (2022) and will receive a 5G modem for the first time.
To be discovered in the video - this is how xiaomist readers imagine the iPhone of the future:
iPhone "Fold" shifts
Finally, Kuo announces another delay. So far, it has also been assumed by him that Apple would present its first foldable iPhone as early as 2023. This is probably no longer the case, Apple is said to have postponed any plans to 2024 . However, the expert did not provide any further details.
Apple is clearly taking its time with the new technology and is doing well with it. Samsung recently introduced the third generation of such smartphones, but customers are still reluctant. A trend that our readers also confirm. Recently, only a small number of xiaomist readers were interested in a future foldable iPhone. So Apple doesn't have to hurry, the demand is still very limited.
