{Disarmed} Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is rumored to support 45 watt fast charging
Smartphone charging speeds are a hot topic ... if you just look at the smartphones from Chinese manufacturers that are trying to outdo each other by introducing ever faster charging speeds on every new phone.
Samsung isn't playing this game, however, and for the past two years the company has even scaled back the charging speed specifications for its flagship devices. But now things are looking up again.
With the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, Samsung introduced a charging power of 45 watts in 2019 and maintained this with the Galaxy S20 Ultra before it dropped back to 25 watts with the Galaxy S21 series. Now, however, there are rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S22 series - or at least the Galaxy S22 Ultra - will get another charging speed upgrade.
It was once said that 65 watt fast charging for the Galaxy S22 Ultra is in the test phase. But a new leak now shows that Samsung could return to 45 watt fast charging. Regardless of whether the Samsung Galaxy S22 series can be charged with 45 or 65 watts, the charger must of course be purchased separately, as Samsung no longer includes an adapter.
In terms of battery capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra are expected to have the same 4,000 mAh and 5,000 mAh batteries, respectively, as their predecessors. The Galaxy S22 +, on the other hand, will be equipped with a 4,500 mAh battery.
