{Disarmed} OLEDs and lightness spearhead Lenovo innovations in Yoga Slim ultraportables and a new 2-in-1 Chromebook
After the ThinkPad and the Yoga Tab , Lenovo continues to expand its showcase and today we see new equipment with different features and target audience but something in common: lightness and thinness. The new Yoga Slim come alongside a 2-in-1 Chromebook to offer OLED touch panels and stay up-to-date on software.
We point this out because the two new Yoga Slim come with Windows 11 , while the new IdeaPad Duet, like a good Chromebook , runs with Google's operating system for computers and tablets. Of course, although they are relatively light and thin , Lenovo claims to have taken care of the robustness without forgetting that the batteries give a good autonomy.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Carbon, as its name suggests, comes as a light and thin option. According to Lenovo, it is the lightest 14-inch OLED laptop in the world, and at least it is with respect to notebooks characterized by their light weight such as the LG Gram (IPS LCD screen) or the latest ASUS OLEDs , although it does not beat the HP. Aero 13 (IPS screen).
Speaking of weight and dimensions, the weight is 1.1 kilograms and its thinness reaches 14.9 millimeters . So that this does not play against the dissipation of heat, the outputs of two of the four front speakers also serve as air intake areas for the fan that integrates inside.

The maximum brightness is 400 nits and there is an option for it to be tactile, occupying 91% of the front, according to the manufacturer.
The Yoga Slim 7 Carbon has a hinge that allows it to be opened up to a 180 degree angle. Made with carbon fiber and a magnesium alloy, the brand promises that the construction is robust and that it even withstands durability tests of the military certification MIL-STD 810H.
Inside it has the AMD Ryzen 7 Series 5800U, being able to choose to accompany it with the NVIDIA GeForce® MX450 graphics card (with dedicated memory). Available RAM is up to 16GB of LPDDR4x memory , offering up to 1TB of internal M.2 PCIE SSD storage.
The battery that it integrates is 61 WHr, having an adapter with Rapid Charge fast charging with which they promise up to three hours of use with 15 minutes of charge and an autonomy of up to 14.5 hours. And to move all this, it has the new Windows 11.
The Yoga Slim 7 Carbon has Alexa and has WiFi 6 . And as we usually see in the laptops of this brand, it also integrates an infrared camera (and ToF sensor ).
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro
Leaving aside the brightness, color and blacks of the OLED, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 Pro maintains a similar design to the previous one but with a 16-inch IPS touch panel . The option here is to opt for a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, higher than the previous one, in a panel with a higher maximum brightness and a close resolution.
Also with AMD processors, in this case the maximum option is the Ryzen 75800H with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 GPU (the base model has the integrated AMD Radeon), the RAM memory can be up to 16 GB of RAM and the SSD up to 1 TB .
The battery has a little more capacity, being also a larger computer. The dimensions to integrate that 16-inch LCD make up a thickness of 17.4 millimeters, integrating a 75 WHr battery and weighing 2.1 kilograms .
Like the previous one, it has Windows 11, Alexa, a camera with infrared and Dolby Atmos sound. In addition, it integrates a microphone aimed at canceling ambient noise and thus being able to have a better experience with video calls.

The tablet experience continues with all the apps available on Google Play by having Chrome OS , powered by a second-generation Snapdragon 7c . It carries up to 8 GB of RAM and has a drive of up to 256 GB.
The battery in this case is 42 Whr, promising a range of up to 15 hours , which would not be bad. It integrates four speakers and is compatible with the USI stylus.
