Nokia 2.1 gets Android 10 Go Edition
HMD Global has now started to distribute a new software update to the Nokia 2.1. The update to Android 10 (Go Edition) is on its way.
The rollout is already running in the first countries. The first wave includes Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
In these countries, 10 percent of the devices will receive the update and 50 percent by September 5th. The rollout will be completed by September 7th. After that, the rollout should begin in other countries.
Since this device is a Go Edition mobile phone, the software version is the special iteration of Android 10, which is equipped with a smaller footprint and special pre-installed Go Edition apps that take up less space inside and consume less data than their normal counterparts.
