Is your Xiaomi camera slow or laggy? so you can fix it
Over time, the camera application of your Xiaomi may work somewhat slow or even present lag . After months or years of use, it is normal that sometimes taking a simple photograph is a somewhat slow task but that fortunately has a solution.
This more than anything is due to the large amount of secondary information or cache memory that the application itself has accumulated in the system. As is usually the case in technology, there is always a problem that requires maintenance from us.
That is why if the camera of your Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO works slow or presents lag when taking a capture or photograph, then we will explain how to restore its factory parameters and clean its cache in order to solve this so annoying problem.
How to eliminate the lag of the camera of your Xiaomi and make it not work slow
The main method to fix camera lag issues on any Xiaomi device is usually to restore its default settings. For this, we will only have to carry out the following steps:
- Go to the camera app.
- Access the settings (From the top bar).
- Click on "Restore default settings".
Also, if this option is not enough to solve the problems of lag or slowness in the camera of your Xiaomi, the second option is to clear the cache memory of the camera itself:
- Go to Settings> Applications> Manage applications
- Once inside we look for «Camera» and click on «Delete data».
- After that, just click on "Clear cache".
With these simple steps we will in most cases solve the lag problems of our Xiaomi camera, making it work like the first day.

Hi. I've tried the method of clearing the cache several times and the camera is still laggy. Is there any possible reason behind it?
ReplyDeleteI also got the same problem not only cheace, I reset to factory data reset but still the same. when I try to Zoom camera it's self lag. I am so stress maibe it's software
DeleteTry deactivating the anti banding, it worked here
DeleteThanks man it worked like magic. I fixed the anti banding to my local electric frequency.
DeleteMy wife has the Mi SE 9 and the same problem. We tried everything, but you can't shot photos fast. You have to wait several minutes between each picture.
ReplyDeleteI'm having the same problem. Camera is so laggy it's virtually useless. I keep getting blurred images of the floor or my legs rather than the subject I pointed it at!!I've only had it about 2 months. I've tried the fixes described but it still catches me out when I try to take a picture quickly. Very disappointed!Xiaomi need to sort this.
ReplyDeleteI have the same issue. Really regret buying this phone.
ReplyDeleteThe camera is virtually useless
ReplyDeleteIts very useful, thank you.

I decided to reset to factory setting erase everything, but my phone still the same. My phone never fall down. maybe software problem. please Xioami fix this bug. I try to download 3rd prty aplication ca zoom in and out. the problem quality not good. accept. orginal aplication Camera it self.
ReplyDeleteI hope next time don't by Mi note 10 regret it.
I have the same problem with the same phone.
DeleteI encountered same problem. Tried everything I read in Google. I even factory reset it and still didn't fixed the camera problem. Maybe because the miui 12.5.5 enhanced version is unstable. I wish they make an update in the miui 13.
ReplyDeleteSame here. Micro sd and rear cameras are not working. 🤦🏻♂️
DeleteI too have encountered the same problems with the camera. I have only had the phone 3 month....not happy.
ReplyDeletePut battery saver setting to no restrictions from the apps manager> camera. I haven't tried the other methods i was about to until i tried this while in the settings to clear cache, still didn't clear it and it worked. Maybe because there's some kind of restrictions from the battery and the camera , processor and everything else aren't giving it the juice it takes.
ReplyDeletesame problem I solved by changing the camera Apps
ReplyDeletethe one i used is called HD camera for Android 2023 from accarunit, it contains adds, maybe another would be also good. At least I know the problem is the original camera app on my redmi 11.
(I don't know if is the average camera app on android 11, or if the problem comes from miui 13.0.5 ... )
