Amazon Prime Day 2020 now officially postponed
Amazon's annual sales holiday, Prime Day, is typically a global event - so big that it often crashes the Amazon retail website. This year, however, the COVID-19 pandemic has upset the retailer's plans.
Today, Amazon officially confirmed reports that it will postpone Amazon Prime Day 2020 in the U.S. until later this year. A statement is still pending for Germany.
Prime Day is usually held in July. And many retailers and customers are eagerly awaiting this day, as there are always big discounts.
" This year we will hold Prime Day later than usual, while ensuring the safety of our employees and supporting our customers and sales partners. "

An alternative date was given only for India, where the Amazon Prime Day 2020 will take place on August 6-7. India is an enormously important market for Amazon, which is probably why the alternative date was named there.
In April there were first rumors that Amazon Prime Day would be postponed. So now it really happened. The offer day is said to have been postponed to October. An official confirmation is still pending.
