21 years of waiting and ready. The Worms Armagedon update adds more worms
Team17 has a surprise for players disappointed in Worms: Rumble. Lovers of the iconic Worms Armageddon can now download update 3.8. We check what new patch brings.
The Worms game series is just ending a quarter of a century and on this occasion its creators, i.e. developers from Team17, decided to prepare a surprise for fans. Worms Armageddon, a re-edition of the cult version of Worms 2 released on Steam seven years ago, has just been unexpectedly updated.
What's new in Worms Armageddon 3.8?
The most important new in Worms Armageddon 3.8 is the ability to place more worms on the map than ever before. At the same time, up to six players can participate in the match, and each of them can send a full team of eight worms to the fight, which means that even 48 earthworms can fight in the fight for life and death.
In addition, Worms Armageddon 3.8 has the option to modify the laws of physics on the map, and there are new bots that can be used in local and multiplayer matches. It is also possible to start the game on a map already riddled as part of another conflict thanks to the Mapshot feature. Team17 is also reporting improved compatibility with Linux and Windows 10.
However, we should not only thank Team17 developers for the new Worms Armageddon update.
It's true that developers have just released the update, but they are not responsible for creating it - it's a modification prepared by fans. Apparently, the creators liked it so much that they decided to anoint it as official and hand it over to all fans.
The patch is a consolation prize for those who were upset by the Worms: Rumble presentation . Unfortunately, this next installment of the series, and also the first game in the series after the 2016 game entitled Worms WMD, is not a full-fledged continuation of the series, but a real-time production and an attempt to grab the crumbs from the battle signed cake "...
