Samsung Galaxy S9 | S9 + One UI 2.1 update started
Dinner is served! The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + One UI 2.1 update has started. Germany and South Korea are the first two countries where the update is now being distributed.
One UI 2.1 is now being distributed to the two former flagships. G96xFXXU9ETF5 is the name of the firmware in this country. The June 2020 security patch is also on board.
Sometimes waiting helps, because for a long time it was completely unclear whether the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 + would get the update at all.

Features include new sharing options. There's Quick Share, a one-tap file and media sharing solution between Galaxy devices (similar to Apple's AirDrop), and Music Share that lets you share your phone's Bluetooth audio connection with other devices ( For example, your friends can play music from their phone via a Bluetooth speaker connected to your Galaxy smartphone).
The camera is getting a number of new shooting modes. Create single take, my filters and custom filters for future recordings. Professional video recording is back.
The One UI 2.1 update also includes a new AR zone app that combines all augmented reality functions such as AR Emoji and AR Doodle in one place. AR Emoji also gets improved face recognition and new manual editing tools.
That should also be the last major update for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 +, Android 11 is probably no longer to be expected in the two models.
