Trump pandemic: It s all WHO s fault. We won t pay for it
At the conference he convened, US President Donald Trump announced that the US is suspending payment of contributions to the World Health Organization (WHO). According to Trump, the organization has reacted incorrectly to an outbreak of coronavirus infection, mismanages the entire crisis, and most importantly covers up the threat and spreads misinformation.

We are not sure that America's generosity is well used. WHO did not obtain, verify or disclose all information on time. However, we have recently received a lot of false information about transmission and mortality from coronavirus, 'said Trump. If WHO did not trust China so much, the situation around the world would not be so dramatic now, and the virus would not have spread so much.
Last week, the US president suggested that the United States is considering suspension of contributions to WHO.
Now he finally decided on this move.
It is worth noting that the US is the largest payer of the organization, and this year it was planned to pay as much as $ 116 billion there.
So far, Trump's decision has not been warmly received. A few hours after the announcement of Trump's decision, he criticized it, among others Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary General, stressing that a pandemic is not the time to punish WHO or any other humanitarian organization that is fighting the virus.
Commentators note, however, that Trump misses the truth, because the World Health Organization informed the US about the risk of coronavirus on January 10, and on January 23 also published a report warning that SARS-CoV-2 contagiousness is greater than that of ordinary flu. Despite this, the US administration practically did not deal with the coronavirus throughout February and did not prepare the country for an impending pandemic.
