Samsung Galaxy S11 with "what else has not been" camera. Let s see what we can expect
The person responsible for one of the most reliable leaks in the mobile industry says: mobile photography fans, skip Note 10 and wait for S11. It has to have a camera that was never there.
Such words were published on Twitter by the user @UniverseIce, known for credible leaks, which were confirmed many times. The new tweet is very laconic and does not contain any tips or leaks. We only know that the camera will be a big innovation.

@UniverseIce already in May claimed that neither Note 10 nor even Galaxy Fold will be Samsung's most innovative smartphones in the coming future.

What's new will go to S11? To answer this question, let's follow what has already been done.
And there were many. Over the past years, Samsung has had:
- basic lens with high brightness (up to f / 1.5),
- telephoto lens,
- ultra wide angle lens,
- depth of field detection sensor,
- rotating front lens covered in a sliding element,
- retractable "chimney" with front lens,
- variable aperture on the main camera.
In the hardware layer, we have almost everything that the mobile market is able to offer today. Samsung does not have only periscope optical zoom (known e.g. from Huaweia) or black and white matrices that Huawei has been promoting for several years, and which have rather gone out of date.
"A camera that has never been seen before ... ... which one?"
If we look at the latest achievements of Samsung in terms of photography, we will see new matrices with a resolution of 108 megapixels , which I devoted a separate text. In my opinion, this is the most likely innovation that could appear in the Galaxy S11. 108 megapixels in the main camera and 64 megapixels in the ultra wide angle . In these numbers there would probably be more marketing than improving quality, but if the level of photos did not fall, Samsung would have a significant advantage over the competition. At least image-related.
A much less likely element that could reach Samsung is a liquid lens that, under the influence of electrical voltage, could change its shape, thus responsible, for example, for optical zoom without the need for lens movement. In other words, a completely flat lens could behave like a traditional multi-lens zoom. Such technology has been developed for many years, but it has never hit cameras. If it hits, then I think it's just a smartphone, because the lenses are much smaller here than in traditional cameras.
The least likely idea seems to be interchangeable optics, i.e. the solution that was supposed to appear on the RED Hydrogen smartphone. The smartphone camera was to have a modular design that allows you to exchange not only lenses, but even matrices for larger ones. Such a solution would be troublesome not only in production, but also in marketing communication. I am not sure if a normal user would be interested in interchangeable lenses.
A quite likely idea is also the aperture that changes smoothly, not abruptly between two positions. This would be a step that would bring the smartphone closer to a traditional camera. If such a novelty were to appear on the market, it was in the Samsung edition.
Samsung must surprise something.
For more or less a year, voices are being heard that the cameras in the next top Samsung are not revolutionary. It is true. Quality improves year by year, but the time of rapid quality leaps is behind us. It's hard to blame Samsung, because this producer was the first to jump into a very high level of mobile photography, and the competition - including mainly Huawei and Apple - had to chase.
Huawei has done a great job and today offers smartphones with amazing cameras. Apple with the upcoming iPhone will strongly focus on the development of lenses, thanks to which it will probably jump again into the first league in terms of quality and universality of the camera. Pixel 4 also promises to be a new deal in terms of camera. Added to this are Chinese players - mainly Oppo - who have already tamed the quality of the camera in cheaper devices, and on the top shelf they propose interesting constructions with substantial optical zoom.
So Samsung could use a new feature, because the market does not like stagnation. Even if it is high level stagnation. The market is so dynamic and aggressive that it will stand still this new regression. I believe in ensuring that the camera in the Galaxy S11 will be groundbreaking, but for now the only real breakthrough appear to be matrices with very high resolutions. However, I hope Samsung is preparing a bigger surprise that no one has discovered yet.
