iPhone Pro with stylus? Let me remind you of Steve Jobs s words

There are more indications that the new iPhone will be supported by the stylus.

iPhone Pro , if it will also be operated with a stylus, remember that it won't be the first Apple mobile device with a stylus.

Once upon a time Apple had Newton - a portable computer that can be considered the grandfather of an iPad. Not long ago, Apple returned to the stylus. Apple Pencil appeared on the market as an accessory for iPad Pro. And it wasn't a one-time jump. Since then, Apple has been consistently sticking to the stylus. The new iPad Pro works with Apple Pencil 2, and the first Pencil works with the cheaper iPad, iPad Air and iPad mini.

Now we are getting information that the new iPhone Pro will also work with the stylus . This raises a lot of questions.

Who wants a stylus? You have to pull it out and put it back in, you lose it. Bleee! Nobody wants stylus - said Steve Jobs presenting the first iPhone to the world.

Of course, a potential stylus in the iPhone Pro will be just one of the possibilities of operating a smartphone. There will be no obligation to use it. But after all, people who decide to do so will have to face the flaws that Jobs joked about.

shorter apple pencil

They will pull him out and hide him. They will lose him. I lose my Apple Pencil every now and then. I find him in various places. Under the table. At the bottom of the backpack. Under the pillows on the couch. On the floor mats in the car. In pockets.

Yes, I use the stylus on the iPad Air and I love it

I use it to write all handwritten notes. I gave up the traditional notebook and paper calendars, which have always been on my desk for years.

I write, sketch, scribble, draw and color, because the stylus is useful not only for work, but also for entertainment. You can use it to edit photos and to de-stress with coloring books. It can also be used as a precision pointing device, e.g. in video editing programs. There are many possibilities.

However, I don't feel the slightest need for the iPad stylus to be compatible with the iPhone. These are, after all, completely different devices that due to the size of the screen are suitable for other applications. What is comfortable on an iPad will not necessarily be done with pleasure on an iPhone. It works both ways - see iPad photos.

Stylus on a smartphone? Samsung has been showing this for years still makes sense can be sold to people. However, Samsung did it with taste - it redesigned the device to make the stylus part of it. When you do not use the stylus in the Galaxy Note 10, you put it into the hole in the housing and you forget about it.

And Apple?

If the stylus is solved in the way suggested by the above graphics, it will be uncomfortable. The stylus will get lost if the user does not have a special, clumsy case, which unfortunately will make the phone lying on the table not comfortable to use.

Let's face it: if Apple actually does such a nasty stylus for a smartphone, it will be a joke. The company will put out a laughing stock. Where's the Note 10 stylus, and where's the iPhone Pro? Such a technological divide between two rivals is unacceptable.

It is better to stick to Jobs' approach to the topic that stylus in smartphones is pointless than to release such a monster.

I wonder where Tim Cook was when Steve Jobs shouted from the stage that "nobody wants a stylus." I probably won't be wrong if I say that he was sitting in the first row nodding and smiling at the same time.

PS Finally, the thought: Apple Pencil is different from Apple Pencil 2 - iPad Pro, which works with Pencil 2, does not work with the first Pencil, and iPad Air from 2019 (newer than iPad Pro) works with the old Pencil. He can't with the new one. Which technology will Apple use in the iPhone? Compatible with Pencil or Pencil 2?

It doesn't matter which problems are. If the iPhone Pro will be compatible with Pencil 2, then the owners of new iPads, iPads Air and iPads mini will have to use a different stylus on the tablet and another on the iPhone. However, if the iPhone Pro will be compatible with the old Pencil (it would be weird), then the owners of the new iPad Pro will have to use two different stylus pens.

And they said that using the Apple ecosystem means consistency and convenience ...
