He was elected to replace an irreplaceable man. Who exactly is Tim Cook?
He was Steve Jobs. He was Jony Ive. It is time for Tim Cook - pre-sale of Kahney Leander's new book: "Tim Cook. The man who raised Apple to a higher level . "
I've read some books about Stevie Jobs. I finish reading "Jony Ive. The genius who designed the most famous Apple products "- by Kahney Leander. And now I know Tim Cook will be next. It's already decided. This is a must-have.
Leander Kahney, relied on many conversations with people inside Apple and the immediate surroundings of Cook. He gained interesting information and in his new book "Tim Cook. The man who puts Apple to a higher level " tells how Cook successfully replaced the irreplaceable Jobs.
Tim Cook's era
Tim Cook did not have an easy task. He took over the company's headquarters after an eccentric genius who shocked and inspired the whole world. Not only fans of new technologies knew of Steve Jobs. He was a man who could speak beautifully, discuss and joke. He was also an icon of American success - he began working in the garage of a house belonging to his parents, and ended up at the top of the industry, which he created and shaped with his own hands. In the meantime, he was forced to leave his own company, then return and save her from disappearing from the market. How often does something like that happen ?!
It is difficult to replace such a person. It is difficult to take her position. It is difficult to prove its value on it.
Few people know, however, that Tim Cook has proven its worth before. He joined Apple in 1988. Previously he worked for IBM and Compaq. When in 2002 he became vice president for global operations, he had to face one of the biggest challenges at Apple. The company's magazines were bursting at the seams. The shelves buckled under the pressure of residual electronics. The goods did not go down. The suppliers were making problems. Factories were far away.
In just a few months, Tim Cook prevailed over this chaos. He shortened the production time of new equipment, limited warehouse inventory, streamlined deliveries and convinced the factories to move to the Apple headquarters. Thanks to these moves, Apple started to sell his computers on the trunk. The product was produced, quickly went to warehouses and then to customers. Apple stopped wasting money. He began to multiply them.
Tim Cook was promoted. He became the director of operations and managed the global sales network.
When Steve Jobs faced serious health problems, Tim Cook replaced him several times by assuming the duties of CEO. On 24 August 2011, Steve Jobs finally resigned from his post, and on the successor he chose Tim Cook. As we all know, Steven Paul Jobs died on October 5, 2011 due to a recurrence of pancreatic cancer.
Since then, all eyes have been turned towards Tim Cook, who seems to be a very mysterious person. I have the impression that Timie Cook still knows nothing. In principle, only the rudimentary information about the style of his work is available to the media. The day usually starts at 4.30 when answering emails from colleagues. He often organizes teleconferences with Apple employees scattered around the world. On Sunday, he conducts late-night phone calls with managers of individual divisions, thus preparing for Monday's meetings at the company's headquarters.
So one of Tim Cook's former associates explains his management strategy:
I will ask you 10 questions. If you answer correctly, ask you another 10. If you respond correctly for a year, then he will ask you 9 of them. Answer one wrong, it will start asking you 20.
I want to meet Tim Cook
After a few books I have the impression that I met and understood (although partly) Steve Jobs. Thanks to the biography of Jonathan Ive, I met him and, above all, I appreciated his genius. I also feel that I have started to fall in love with product design and respect this process.
Now, I want to read "Tim Cook. A man who lifted Apple to a higher level " and learn the answer to the question" Who exactly is Tim Cook? ".
Who is the man who, without any more involvement of Steve Jobs, released a new product that has become a great success. I mean, of course, Apple Watch, which has already sold 40 million copies, and whose sales quarter by quarter are growing by 50 percent. AirPods headphones are also a hit.
And on Apple's services, he earns billions of dollars every quarter - this is basically the second largest cash flow at Apple. And it will be even bigger. In the autumn Apple Arcade (platform for gamers) and Apple TV + (streaming movies and series) will have market premieres. It was in the era of Tim Cook that Apple developed services to such a level that if they were to be separated into a separate company, it would still be able to hit the Fortune 500 list. It makes an impression.
Is Apple the best in the future? We can get the answer to this question when we get to know and understand Tim Cook.

I'm excited. Not only because in a moment we will be able to immerse ourselves in reading this important new book technology for every fan. But also because Spider's Web has taken over this publishing house with its patronage.
